The Capron Park Zoo, located on eight acres in Attleboro, MA, is home to about 100 animals from around the world. The zoo includes a building for viewing nocturnal animals, an indoor rainforest exhibit, and a water playground. The grounds are fully handicapped accessible, and there is a gift shop on the premises.

Founded in 1872, the 40-acre zoo is one of the nation’s oldest. It’s home to over 100 species of rare and interesting animals from all over the world presented in naturalistic settings, including many endangered species. Themed programs and events are offered throughout the year, some of them focused on hands-on conservation. Nearby, within the park, is an operational Victorian-style carousel.

Normal admission Adults $19.95; Seniors (62+) $16.95; Children (2-12) $13.95; Children 1 and younger FREE. This is a returnable pass. Passes must be checked out on a Fiske Library card in good standing. This pass must be returned to the library by 9:30 a.m. on the day after use. If returned when the library is closed, the pass may be returned in an envelope in the bookdrop.
