A granny square is like a plain sheet of paper. Sure, it comes in different colors, textures, sizes and weights however in and of itself, it’s not very exciting until you use it as an integral part of your creative process. During our two-hour class we will explore the basic structure of a granny square as we make one traditional style square using basic worsted weight wool. You will leave the class with a new respect for the humble Granny Square, a hook and yarn to begin your creative journey.
Program participants and all other fiber enthusiasts are welcome to make fiber squares to be included in the Wrentham Arts on the Common display this Summer. You can learn more about it here from our instructor, Rosann Fleischauer of First Byte Designs, https://firstbytedesigns.com/yarning-around-massachusetts-and-beyond/ Sign up on her web site to receive bi-monthly updates about other programs, which are being offered, fiber arts installation dates and locations. If you’re on Instagram, follow her @1stbytedesigns to receive more frequent updates.
